The Raiders squad are in action today at the Northern Rail Nines. With coach Steve McCormack already warning his team not to expect a holiday at the popular resort.
the competition started this morning at 10am with a 14-14 draw with Championship 1 side Oldham.
Unfortunately the second match didn't go quite as well, losing 14-4 against a strong Featherstone side.
The Raiders coach is already full of praise for his young players saying "It's been a massive effort from our young team against some very experienced professionals, Sam Dowsett and Grant Burns in particular catching the eye."
The final match in the 1st round stage is at 3pm against Sheffield Eagles
