Barrow Raiders are delighted to announce that they have currently raised £5,145.89 profits from the sale of our NHS and keyworker thank-you shirts and the Chairman has agreed to top up the amount to £6,000 so that the NHS and Barrow Raiders Community Foundation both receive £3,000.

We would like to thank the public of Barrow who bought the shirts to show their appreciation of all those workers in the real front line at the height of the pandemic. We hope the NHS can find worthy causes within their organisation to make a real difference whilst the Community team already have plans to extend their support for disadvantaged groups and people with disabilities.

There are still a quantity of shirts available for sale and as the NHS comes under increased pressure they are still a very valid way of showing your support. We hope to have a full list of sizes available shortly and excess sales will result in a second donation.

In addition to this we asked for donations of any amounts to display photos of key workers on our advertising boards throughout the summer and, after costs, £2,089.94 is surplus and will be donated to good causes throughout the following months.

The club would like to pay special thanks Jack Fawcett and Amy Hindle who put in a massive amount of time and effort purchasing, distributing and managing the accounts related to this project.
