Barrow Raiders head coach Paul Crarey says he is looking forward to the opportunity to avenge last month’s narrow defeat to Swinton Lions on Sunday.
The Raiders suffered a heartbreaking 20-18 defeat at Heywood Road in Round 3 of the Betfred Championship, with Jordy Gibson’s last minute try winning it for the Lions.
With cup action next on the horizon, Crarey believes his side will be raring to go, come Sunday.

“We’re looking forward to it and looking forward to the challenge,” he said.
“We got rolled with 45 seconds to go when we were there – they put out a statement. They’ve got a few injuries but we’ve all got injuries. It’s the Championship and that’s what happens.
“I think it’ll be a good game, and we owe them one from when we went down there.”
The Raiders are yet to win in the Championship this season, but did pick up their first point last weekend after a thrilling 18-18 draw against Newcastle Thunder.

Reflecting on that game, Crarey added: “We should have won against Newcastle.
“For 25 minutes, we were totally dominant, had chances and blew them.
“That’s what you get when you’re low on confidence but hopefully we can turn that around.”
