Castleford Tigers prop forward Razor Silva has returned to Barrow Raiders on an initial two-week loan deal.

Silva first joined the club ahead of the 2024 season and went on to make 24 appearances in Raiders colours.

In March, it was announced that Silva would leave the club to take up a full-time opportunity in the Betfred Super League with Castleford.

The Sao Paulo-born front-rower goes straight into contention to feature in the 21-man squad ahead of this weekend’s trip to Toulouse Olympique.

Castleford will have the option to recall Silva at any point after the first two weeks of the loan.

Barrow Raiders head coach Paul Crarey said: “We are delighted to have Ramon back with us on a short-term loan.

“He is a model professional with a fantastic attitude. He was wanted by numerous clubs in the Championship but wanted to come back with us and stuck to his word.

“I’d personally like to thank Andy Gaffney and Steve Neale for getting the deal over the line, and his agent Kevin Brown and Chris Chester from Castleford for sanctioning the move.”
