Captain Jarrad Stack scored twice as Barrow Raiders secured a hard-fought 20-18 victory at Dewsbury Rams in the Betfred Championship.

Despite having forward Anton Iaria sin-binned after just three minutes, the Raiders still hit the front early on as half-back Jarrod Sammut marked his return from international duty with a converted try after eight minutes.

Stack extended their lead with 20 minutes gone, before Rams responded quickly through centre Adam Ryder.

Luke Cresswell dummied his way over to restore the Raiders’ 10-point cushion before half-time, but a sluggish start to the second half saw the hosts take the lead for the first time thanks to converted tries from Jordan Schofield and Ryder again.

However, it was Paul Crarey’s side who had the last laugh as Stack added his second to secure an impressive 20-18 triumph in Yorkshire.
