Responsible to: The Board of Directors
Location: The Matt Johnson Stadium (Craven Park)
Normal Hours of Work: 37 (flexible working to include weekend and evening work)

Primary Purpose of the Role
” Management – Planning , Organising , Leading and Controlling.”
This is a key role as the CEO is responsible for shaping the work environment , creating a positive professional ethos and implementing the strategies determined by the BOD.

Personal and Professional Qualities
Being a strong professional role model and ambassador for the club and the sport.

A passion for Rugby League at all levels but with experience in administration and knowledge of the governance of the professional game
Strong and determined leadership qualities and the ability to build successful teams by example and collaboration

Excellent motivation and resilience underpinned with a good sense of humour.

Excellent communication skills .

Excellent organisational skills coupled with good ICT literacy.

A great capacity for hard work .

Creativity and problem solving.

Duties
Shaping the working environment by developing a high quality organisation which always strives for the best.

Having an oversight of the business operations of the club and coordinating the activities , where appropriate , to achieve the best outcomes.

Identifying and developing practical strategies for expanding the scope of the business including identifying new revenue streams and strengthening existing ones.

Staff development .

Creating and managing budgets

Human resource management for all club employees including the creation and updating of job specs and overseeing volunteer structures

Assisting the Community Development Officer and the Community Team when appropriate.

Oversight and assistance in the implementation of the club’s welfare responsibilities to staff and its community with a particular focus on the club’s legal responsibilities and safeguarding obligations in, for instance, Child Protection and the well being of vulnerable adults

Oversight of the club’s Health and Safety responsibilities , actibvely supporting the relevant club personnel when needed.

The hiring and oversight of contractors.

Supporting the presentation of the club’s community and media profile.

Supporting the continued development of the club’s strong and positive relationship with the Rugby Football League.

The production and presentation of reports for the BoD and for a variety of audiences.

The evaluation of the club’s performance and productivity at appropriate times.
