Barrow Raiders will face a Barrow & District Select side in Dan Toal’s testimonial match as preparations begin ahead of the 2024 campaign.
The fixture will take place on Saturday 30 December (2pm kick-off) at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium.
The Barrow & District Select side will comprise of the best amateur talent from across the local area.
In January 2023, Toal was granted a testimonial by the RFL, recognising his services to the sport of rugby league
He has been with the Raiders for over a decade and will enter his 13th season with the club in 2024. To date, the 33-year-old has made 201 appearances for the club, scoring 64 tries.
Toal underwent knee surgery at the end of 2022 and was ruled out for the entirety of the 2023 season, but he is expected to feature in the testimonial match as he steps up his return to full fitness.
