Barrow Raiders have brought young Wigan Warriors forward Finley Beardsworth to the club on a short-term loan.
Beardsworth will add depth to the forward pack, following the unfortunate news that Charlie Emslie will be out for up to three months.
Emslie suffered a bicep injury during last weekend’s defeat to Doncaster, and it has since been confirmed that he will require surgery to fix the issue.

The club will also be without Jarrad Stack on Sunday, with the Raiders captain remaining in Australia due to personal reasons.
Formerly a junior at Bank Quay Bulls in Warrington, Beardsworth joined the Warriors’ scholarship programme in 2018.
He featured in the Warriors Reserves’ 2023 Grand Final victory over St Helens at Robin Park Arena and also spent time on loan at Midlands Hurricanes last season, playing four times.
Beardsworth provides versatility to the Raiders pack, with an ability to play in the middle or as a second-rower.
Barrow Raiders head coach Paul Crarey said: “Following the unfortunate news that Charlie will be out for possibly up to three months, it is great news that Wigan have trusted us with yet another of their rising stars.

“Finley is a tough-tackling second row who also scores his fair share of tries. He will join up with the squad at training tomorrow and be in contention for a place on Sunday.”
Director of rugby Andy Gaffney said: “I’d like to thank Wigan for allowing Finley to link up with the club and help out with numbers.
“He is a promising young player and we look forward to seeing him in Raiders colours.”
