On Saturday, Barrow Raiders Ladies’ Betfred Women’s Super League clash with Wigan Warriors will be dedicated to the success and growth of the women’s game at the club.

The Raiders Ladies’ penultimate home game of the season will serve as a celebration of the female pathway in Barrow, from youth teams through to the first team, and all the incredible women who play their part in our success off the pitch, too.

Players from both teams are invited to walk out onto the pitch ahead of kick-off with someone special in their lives – whether that be a family member, friend or inspirational individual who has helped shape their life.

We are also inviting as many women as possible from our P2P squad, Under 19s, community junior teams and community touch rugby teams to be part of Saturday’s celebrations.

Off-field staff, volunteers and other amazing supporters of the club will also be commended as we recognise everything great about women’s rugby league in Barrow.

At half-time during Saturday’s game, we want to encourage all the women invited to attend to have a parade around the pitch, as we appreciate their involvement with the club.

Furthermore, girls attending our summer rugby camps will be given tickets to bring their parents along to Saturday’s game free of charge.

While the game promises to be a real test against one of the division’s best sides, and one boasting a number of international representatives, it will be a chance to demonstrate how far Barrow Ladies have come in a few short years.

We are extending an open invitation to all individual player sponsors and main team sponsors to attend Saturday’s fixture.

To gain free entry, simply confirm your sponsor name when entering the ground.

Barrow Raiders chairman Steve Neale said: “Our Super Saturday Special promises to be a fantastic occasion celebrating everything great about our club.

“Our women’s team have already proven their ability to rise to the challenge of the Women’s Super League since making the step up.

“As we near the conclusion of the 2025 season, it seems fitting to recognise all the incredible women working hard behind the scenes to ensure we not only remain competitive with the top teams in the division, but also develop as a group.”

For supporters unable to attend, Saturday’s fixture will also be broadcast live on our official streaming platform, Lounges TV.
