New recruit Ramon ‘Razor’ Silva is hoping that consistent game time will help him find his best form with Barrow Raiders in 2024.
The powerhouse forward arrived at the club back in November, bringing a two-year spell at Wigan Warriors to an end.
The 22-year-old failed to make a senior appearance for the Warriors, instead spending time on loan at the likes of London Broncos and Toulouse Olympique, amongst others, last season.
He previously came through the Broncos academy system – playing alongside fellow Raiders recruit and good friend Max Clarke during that time.

When asked about his ambitions for the forthcoming season, the Brazil-born front-rower admits he wants to take his game to the next level during his time in Cumbria.
“It’s what I’ve come here for, to be playing consistently every week,” he said.
“It’ll be awesome to get that shirt and to be playing every week. I’ve got around the boys and I’ve got a few sessions done now.
“I’m going to the gym pretty much every day, so it’s all going great. Everyone’s been great to me, and I can’t complain.
“Last year I got my fair share of game time, but this year I’m looking to go above and beyond with that. It’ll be good to get going.”

Silva is yet to appear for the Raiders, having missed last weekend’s friendly against Rochdale Hornets as a precautionary measure.
However, when he does make his Raiders bow, the powerful prop has made clear exactly what fans will see from him, in the hopes of helping the Raiders climb back up the Betfred Championship table during the upcoming campaign.
“I’m going to bring 100% every time I play,” he added.
“What you can expect from me is 100% effort in every area, and hopefully I can help produce wins more than losses this season.”
