Barrow Raiders have signed 6’5 outside back Max Clarke on a one-year deal ahead of the 2024 Betfred Championship campaign.
The 23-year-old arrives after spending last season with fellow Championship side Bradford Bulls. He also enjoyed a short spell on loan at Doncaster during his time with the Bulls.
Clarke previously came through the ranks at London Broncos and spent five years there before making the move north to join Sheffield Eagles in February 2021.

Capable of operating at second-row, centre or on the wing, the imposing Clarke also lists Hull FC and Toulouse Olympique amongst his previous clubs.
The former Wales U18s international faced some of his new team-mates earlier this month when he was named in Wales’ squad to face Cumbria in Kyle Amor’s testimonial.
“I can’t wait to get going,” he said. “The club showed a big interest in me which I liked, and both Paul Crarey and Andy Gaffney told me where they see the club going forward, and what they want to achieve this year.
“For me, it was an easy decision to make. I’ve played at some top clubs over the last few years but I don’t feel like I’ve had my chance to show what I can do yet, so I’m looking forward to getting a good pre-season behind me and playing consistently well every week.

“As a team, the goal is to make the play-offs and we’re more than capable of getting there. I’ll bring a lot of energy and hard work to the team and just do whatever is required to get the team where it needs to be.”
Barrow Raiders director of rugby Andy Gaffney said: “Max is a big, athletic back-rower or centre with huge potential that we aim to develop.
“We believe he will thrive in our systems, and given time will become a firm favourite amongst the Raiders supporters.”
