Barrow Raiders Ladies have made their first signing of the off-season, welcoming back Beth Pattinson for her second spell at the club.

Pattinson featured heavily for the Raiders Ladies in 2022 and 2023, regularly starting in the halves alongside newly-appointed Under 19s women’s head coach Jodie Litherland

She was part of the team that secured promotion to Group 1 of the Betfred Women’s Super League before taking a year out of the sport to welcome her second child into the world.

The 23-year-old, who grew up playing at nearby Millom Rugby Union up to Under 15s level, will now return to the Raiders and report for pre-season training ahead of the 2025 campaign.

“To play for Barrow is an honour,” Pattinson said.

“Under the guidance of the current coaching staff, I can’t wait to play with a great bunch of Cumbrian lasses and test myself at Super League level.”

Barrow Ladies head coach Amanda Wilkinson said: “Everyone at the club is excited to have Beth back. She is such a talented young player, and one I enjoy coaching immensely.

“It’s great that she has had her baby and chosen to return to the sport she loves, and at a team she has already enjoyed real success with.”

Barrow Ladies will be holding open trials on Sunday 24 November from 11am-1pm. Click here to register your interest.
