Barrow Raiders embark on their Betfred Championship play-off campaign this Sunday as they travel to Doncaster for a spot in one of two qualifying finals play-off places next weekend.
The Raiders have enjoyed a week away from action after concluding their regular season with a battling 42-20 Cumbrian derby victory over Whitehaven.
Now, Paul Crarey’s men gear up for their first play-off campaign since the 2022 season. This weekend, they face a Doncaster side that they beat 36-12 during the last meeting at the Eco-Power Stadium, which was followed by a narrow 26-25 defeat to the Dons on home soil in August.
Should the Raiders fail to win against Doncaster on Sunday, it will not signal the end of their season.
Using an extended and amended version of the McIntyre system, the Championship will instead see four weekends of play-off action, culminating in the Championship Grand Final on the weekend of 10/11 October, meaning that Paul Crarey’s side will get at least one more chance to progress to the next week of play-offs.
