Barrow Raiders winger Brett Carter says that the 2022 Betfred Championship season was one of the highlights of his rugby league career.
Having returned to the Raiders ahead of the 2022 season, the 34-year-old went on to feature 11 times for the club last year, scoring twice.
His performances also earned him a new one-year deal, which was announced last month.

Having sat out the opening rounds of the season, Carter got his chance to impress away at Bradford Bulls in mid-April.
It turned into a thrilling afternoon for the Raiders, with a late Jarrod Sammut drop-goal proving enough to secure a sensational 23-22 victory over the Bulls.
It was also the club’s first victory at Odsal since 1963.
Having returned to the squad with aplomb last year, Carter is hopeful of making the upcoming season one to remember.
“I’m excited to see what this year has to offer,” he said.

“I played 11 games last year, and it was probably one of the most enjoyable years I’ve had.
“Cresta said to me when I signed on ahead of last year, ‘don’t let me down’ – luckily I didn’t.
“I was quite fortunate to get a break in the Bradford game. Tee was out with a head knock, the opportunity came up and I enjoyed every minute of it.”
