Harley Anderson is part of our rugby family. On 30th October Harley was taken to Lancaster Royal Infirmary Hospital by ambulance and then rushed to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Harley was diagnosed with CML, chronic myeloid leukemia. This is a difficult time for Harley, his parents and his brother and sister who we see regularly at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium. The family are the fabric of our club.
A crowdfunding page has been set up by Walney Central, where Harley plays for the U12s. As a club they wanted to help contribute to the costs of travelling and staying with Harley through his treatment and appealed to the extended rugby league family to help them in their efforts.
Here’s the link. Please donate if you are able to do so https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/joseph-conaghan
On 4th December Walney under 12s will be walking from Ulverston to Walney, on the way they will call at the other clubs in the area, starting at Ulverston and calling at Dalton, Barrow Island, Roose, Hindpool, Barrow Raiders and finally Walney Central.
Please help and ease some of the financial pressure at this worrying time for the family. No matter how small the donation every little helps.
