Ryan Duffy says the club is “buzzing” following its unbeaten start to the 2021 season as well as the ongoing strong crowds inside the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium.
Raiders have been growing on and off the field in the 2021 Betfred League 1 season, recently recording a crowd of more than 3,000 for the visit of Workington. The team remain the only unbeaten team in the competition, and one of the only three throughout the professional leagues alongside Toulouse and Featherstone.
Most recently, Paul Crarey’s side recorded a 31-6 victory over Doncaster, and travel to Cougar Park to face Keighley this Sunday, with a 2:00pm kick-off.
Duffy said: “There’s definitely a buzz around the lads at the minute, but not just the lads, the club as a whole is absolutely buzzing and it’s great to be a part of it.
“It’s great to see the crowd back in the stadium after everything that’s been going on. There’s nothing better than playing in front of a packed stadium especially when you’ve got fans like we have. It definitely gives the lads a lift.
“It’s very exciting. There’s a good mixture of experience and young lads and we all bounce off of each other which is showing on the pitch.
“There’s definitely no easy games in rugby league regardless of what league you’re in. Keighley is always a tough game, especially Keighley away, and they will be looking to bounce back after a loss last week.”
