Below, you can find out more about our 2023 inductees to the Raiders Hall of Fame.
Darren Holt

With over 2,400 points to his name, Darren Holt has no rivals when it comes to club point-scoring.
His nearest rival is the great Willie Horne, who is almost 600 points behind. His achievement is even more incredible considering Holt achieved the tally in 305 appearances, 299 of which were starts.
Holt shone at hooker in his first season at the club in 1998, but everything changed the following year when he was moved to half-back and handed goal-kicking responsibilities by then-coach Paul Charlton.
Apart from a single season spent up the coast at Whitehaven in 2003, he remained committed to Barrow and established himself as a club legend. Two seasons were subsequently spent at Workington Town between 2010-11, prior to him returning to the Raiders as player-coach then hanging up his boots in 2012 to focus on coaching.
Holt spent more than a decade re-writing the Raiders history books. He holds the club record for the number of goals in a season (140 in 2004 when the club were National League Two champions), drop-goals in a season (13 in 2002), goals in a career (1,035) and career points.
Frankie Jones

Frankie Jones played for his hometown club during a time when the area produced many fine players -including Phil Hogan, John Cunningham and Eddie Szymala.
Yet each of these players would tell you exactly how good Jones was. There have been few better scrum-halves than him to wear a Barrow shirt.
Ironically, he didn’t start his career at Craven Park but at Blackpool Borough – joining them from Barrow Island ARLFC in November 1966.
After two years, Barrow made a move to bring him home, and it proved to be one they wouldn’t regret.
Twice capped by Cumbria, he spent much of his career in Barrow colours as a first team regular. He also came under the national rugby league spotlight in 1964 when playing for Barrow & District’s U19s side in the televised ITV Trophy.
That competition ran for just one season but gave exposure to many of the country’s best young players – including Roger Millward MBE.
