This Sunday’s fixture between Barrow Raiders and Widnes Vikings will be a celebration of the nation’s armed forces.
It will be a day of rugby league, music and celebration, with two matches to enjoy at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium.
First up, Barrow Ladies Reserves will face Stanningley at midday, before the men’s first team welcome the Vikings to Cumbria in Round 15 of the Betfred Championship.
The Army, Sea and Air Cadets will be in attendance doing a bucket collection, so please bring along some change and help support these local youth groups.
As always, there will be entertainment in the Raiders Marquee following the on-field action, and we urge supporters to come and join us.
As part of our recognition for the armed forces, valid Military or Veteran ID cards will grant free entry to the day’s action.
Meanwhile, the wonderful State of Mind team will also be in attendance at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium this weekend, to provide merchandise, mental health resources and links to professional help that is available.
