Brilliant news for the Raiders as, after an interview process, Steve Neale has been appointed General Manager of Barrow Raiders !
Whilst retaining his role as Chairman of the club Steve will now also take on the job specification of General Manager reporting to our Vice Chair: Darren Herbert. Steve will lead on all the club’s administration and off the field activities whilst, of course , events on the field are still the responsibility of Paul Crarey our long serving ,and extremely, dedicated coach.
On his appointment Steve said ” We went through a rigorous interview process with a grilling from fellow directors Denis Fay, Darren Herbert and Hazel Robinson when I explained my vision for the club that centred around building income streams, integrating fully in to the community, building long lasting relationships with sponsors and fans, improving facilities and ultimately leading the club on the field to a brighter future with real ambition to be challenging at the top of the Championship for a Super League place.
As a club we felt that we were a little weak in driving those plans to fruition and we also felt there was a weakness in the governance of the club. This role will allow me to work on a day to day basis driving the vision to reality and I am determined to bring success to the club”
