Barrow Raiders can announce the date for their next AGM as 7:00pm on Wednesday 23rd September in our marquee on the pitch at The Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium. Social distancing will be observed.
We would like to give notice that under special business we are proposing that the debentures held by members are turned in to non-refundable shares. The shares would retain the same voting rights but would have the effect of removing a substantial amount of debt from the club’s books. This in turn would enable the club to be looked at more favourably under the RFL’s Return on Investment Funding model which could gain the club significant funding. The club would also be able to encourage the purchase of shares knowing that the liabilities of the club wasn’t being affected.
Currently debentures are only repaid should there be any surplus funds in the very unlikely event that the club ceases to exist.
