The second annual ‘Dave Day’, in memory of the late Dave Myers, has been confirmed for June 2025, and we are delighted to once again be supporting the event by offering camping packages at the Northern Competitions Stadium.
Last year, more than 20,000 people travelled via motorcycle from London to Dave’s hometown of Barrow, raising more than £125,000 for charity. Others joined the cycle at various points along the route, taking to total number of bikers to around 45,000.
Dave passed away in February 2024 following a cancer diagnosis, and the event gave the biking and Barrow community the opportunity to come together and remember a special man close to the hearts of many.
In 2025, the club will be offering camping pitches at the Northern Competitions Stadium.
The ground offers a perfect location to enjoy the weekend’s entertainment, with the town centre just a short two-minute walk away.
The Raiders’ licensed bar will be open and entertainment is currently being planned. Further details of this will be announced in due course. Catering outlets will also be available throughout the weekend, serving a range of food and drink, including breakfasts.
A Saturday night pitch is priced at £20, and for a full weekend, the cost is £35.
Both packages include a donation to the Advantage! Barrow Raiders Community Foundation, supporting the growth of the club’s off-field work in the local community.
