Barrow Raiders forward Delaine Gittens-Bedward has been named in Jamaica’s 20-man squad to face Wales next week.
Gittens-Bedward joined the club in April and went on to make eight league appearances. He was also named as 18th man on five other occasions.
Jamaica’s squad for their upcoming test against Wales at the Lextan Gnoll, Neath, primarily features players from the English game – the exception being Sydney Roosters’ Alex Young.
Following Tuesday’s game against Wales, Jamaica will fly out to face Canada in Toronto on Saturday 19 October.
Next week, Gittens-Bedward could come up against one of his Raiders team-mates in Max Clarke, who was announced as one of 11 uncapped players in Wales’ 26-man squad for their upcoming autumn internationals.
