We would like to take a moment to recognise the incredible organisations supporting this year’s Junior Education Training Scheme (JETS) programme.
JETS is an initiative which sees head coach Paul Crarey and his team provide an invite to amateur coaches in the area to gain insight and benefit from their professional coaching expertise. This year, JETS celebrates its 10th anniversary!
Today, we say thank you to Paul’s Carpets of Dalton:
Tell us a little bit about Paul’s Carpets of Dalton, and the work you do?
Paul’s Carpets are flooring experts in Dalton-in-Furness with over 40 years’ experience providing high quality, beautiful carpets and flooring to the people of South Cumbria.
We are a family-run business and have built a reputation for providing excellent quality of work and customer service, making us the number one choice for Cumbrian homeowners wanting quality flooring solutions at affordable prices.
What does it mean to you to support Barrow Raiders through opportunities such as this?
JETS offers young rugby players in the Barrow district a chance to be part of the pathway from junior rugby through to the first team, and as a business, we are proud to support the programme.
We are huge fans of the sport and love to give back to our local community wherever we can. Supporting JETS is a great way of doing just that.
From your perspective, what is it that makes the JETS programme so unique?
Everyone can see that the JETS initiative has helped inspire local coaches and also provided a pathway through to the professional game for several players over the last few years.
Our 13-year-old son, Tai, has taken part in the programme, and there are few initiatives like it which enable a player of his age to work closely with some of his local rugby league heroes and a coach of Paul Crarey’s calibre.
