Nine Barrow Raiders players have been named in the provisional Cumbria squad to face Jamaica next month.

The squad is made up of players currently playing for the three Cumbrian clubs – Barrow Raiders, Whitehaven and Workington Town – and players outside of the county with Cumbrian heritage.

Cumbria will be led by Raiders head coach Paul Crarey, who will be supported by trusted assistant Steve Rea and Whitehaven’s Jonty Gorley.

The match takes place on Friday 7 October (7:45pm kick-off) at Workington’s Derwent Park.

Tee Ritson, Luke Cresswell, Ryan Shaw, Brett Carter, Jake Carter, Ryan Johnston, Ellis Gillam, Connor Saunders and Tom Hopkins have all been named in Cumbria’s squad to face the Reggae Warriors.

Super League quartet Brad Singleton, Sam Halsall, Harvie Hill and Brad Walker have also been included, as has former Castleford Tigers and Love Island star Jacques O’Neill.

Early bird tickets for the fixture are on sale now, with significant savings on matchday prices.

Family tickets are also available for the clash, which will act as Jamaica’s final warm-up fixture before their debut appearance at the Rugby League World Cup.
