Premier Sports have today revealed details of extensive and exclusive coverage of the Betfred Championship play-offs.
Premier Sports will cover both semi-finals on Sunday 25 September – now confirmed to be played at Leigh Sports Village at 2:00pm and the Millennium Stadium at Featherstone at 4:00pm – and then the Betfred Championship Grand Final on Sunday 2 October, kick-off at 6:30pm.
The winners of the match will secure promotion to the Betfred Super League in 2023 – and it will be played at the home ground of the higher-ranked team.

With one match from the first round of the play-offs also shown on Monday 19 September, that means Premier Sports will have covered 35 fixtures in the first year of their two-year partnership with the RFL – also including six Betfred Challenge Cup ties and the final of the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Cumulative viewing figures for the season have already passed 1.1 million – with nine matches passing a peak viewing figure of 50,000, including two fixtures from the Betfred Championship Summer Bash at Headingley.

“They have brought a fresh new approach to their coverage of the Betfred Championship, Challenge Cup and the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup which has proved extremely popular with Rugby League supporters, and they have also taken our sport to a new audience.
“It’s been very pleasing that the big games in the Championship have attracted such strong viewing figures, especially in the Summer Bash.
“And the most exciting thing is we still have the climax of the season to come, culminating in the sudden death showdown for promotion to the Betfred Super League.”
Betfred Championship play-off schedule:
- September 18-19: Elimination play-0ffs (3rd v 6th, 4th v 5th) – one match to be shown live on Premier Sports on September 19 at 7:45pm.
- Sunday 25 September: Semi-finals – both matches live on Premier Sports.
- Leigh Centurions vs lowest-ranked elimination play-off winner (2:00pm, Leigh Sports Village).
- Featherstone Rovers vs higher-ranked elimination play-off winner (4:00pm, Millennium Stadium, Featherstone).
- Sunday 2 October: Grand Final – 6:30pm, live on Premier Sports (at home ground of higher-ranked semi-final winner)
