Barrow Raiders will welcome North Wales Crusaders to the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium for a pre-season friendly in the new year.
The fixture takes place on Saturday 13 January (3pm kick-off).
The two sides met in a friendly last year, with the Raiders running in 10 tries to defeat Crusaders 52-24 in Nathan Mossop’s testimonial back in January.
Led by former Raiders forward Carl Forster, North Wales went within a game of promotion to the Betfred Championship last season, only to be defeated by Doncaster in the play-off final.
Forster previously helped the Raiders to promotion to the Betfred Championship in 2021 and made 43 appearances across his two seasons in Cumbria before opting to leave the club to take up a player-coach role with his current side.
The game against North Wales will be the Raiders’ first official pre-season friendly and second confirmed fixture ahead of the new season. Paul Crarey’s side will also host a Barrow & District Select side in Dan Toal’s testimonial match on Saturday 30 December (2pm kick-off).
Further friendlies ahead of the 2024 season will be announced once confirmed.

Tickets bought online are priced at £13 for adults and £10 for concessions. These prices will rise to £17 and £12 if purchased on the gate. Tickets can be bought in advance by clicking here.
