Barrow Raiders can confirm that forward Sam Brooks has joined fellow Betfred Championship side Widnes Vikings on a one-year deal.
Brooks has spent the last two seasons with the Raiders, making a total of 40 appearances.
Of those games, 26 came during the 2022 campaign as Barrow achieved a memorable play-off spot upon their return to the Championship.
He has previously featured for the Vikings, playing five times for the club between 2016-17.
The 30-year-old has a wealth of Championship experience, with previous stints at Halifax, Rochdale Hornets, Whitehaven, Bradford Bulls, Featherstone Rovers, Leigh and Swinton Lions.
Has has also made five appearances for the Scotland national team – the last of which came in 2017.
