We’d like to take a moment to recognise Smart meters, who have provided sponsorship to the club and will have a presence at the Widnes fixture on Sunday.
Smart Energy GB is an independent, non-profit organisation helping households and small businesses across Great Britain understand the benefits of smart meters.
Working with Rugby League Commercial and Rugby League Cares, they provide fans with energy-saving tips, reaching communities and supporting clubs with guidance on energy use and management.
You can use a smart meter display to track what you’re spending in pounds and pence. This can help you budget for your energy bills and avoid surprises.
Owners who say their smart meter has helped them save money estimate it has lowered their energy costs by, on average, £176 a year.**
Smart Energy GB has also teamed up with Offload – the community mental health programme run by Rugby League Cares.
This arm of the partnership aims to support Rugby League Cares by illustrating to their audience how a smart meter can help you get on top of energy bills and ease the financial strain that comes from estimated or unexpected energy bills.
** Poll conducted by Censuswide from 31.03.2025 – 01.04.2025
