Barrow Raiders can confirm that winger Tee Ritson will miss the remainder of the 2026 season due to injury.
Ritson suffered a serious Achilles injury during the club’s recent victory over Workington Town.
Later this week he will see a specialist to determine the extent of the injury, which will sideline him for the remainder of the year.
A standout performer since completing a permanent return to the club ahead of the 2026 campaign, Ritson is closing in on a century of tries in Raiders colours.
Sitting on 98 at the time of writing, two tries in his next three games would see Ritson become the fastest player to score 100 tries for the club.
He is chasing the record set by the legendary Bill Burgess, who achieved the milestone in just 111 appearances more than 60 years ago.
We wish Tee well on his road to recovery, and look forward to seeing him back fit and firing in the not-too-distant future.
Barrow Raiders director of rugby Andy Gaffney said: “Losing a player of Tee’s quality is a bitter pill to swallow.
“He has been in fine form this season, but in professional sport these things can happen and you have to roll with the punches.
“Tee is a model athlete, and I’m confident that he will do everything in his power to make a return to the field as soon as possible.”
