Barrow Raiders have identified several voluntary vacancies for the right candidate that can help us take the club forward. Send us a message if you are interested in any other the roles and we can arrange an informal interview and share our vision of the future:
Child Welfare Officer – Become the club’s point of contact with the RFL and help the club put a policy and action plan in place that safeguards all children who are connected in any way to Barrow Raiders. RFL Safeguarding training will be provided.
Website Manager – Be responsible for improving the layout and content of the website ensuring all information related to the club is easily accessible. Content will be provided by the various teams within the club such as community, commercial, team related news and regulatory information.
Governance Manager – Barrow Raiders are working towards the RFL’s Code of Governance and we need a manager to identify shortfalls and produce an action plan so that we get the absolute best results from our Board of Directors. The key areas will be structure, people, communication, standards and conduct and policies and processes.
Return on Investment Manager – The RFL funding model rewards clubs that are growing the game. We need to improve our digital presence and this person will introduce strategies for the digital growth of the club on all platforms.
Crowd Growth Manager – We have many actions resulting from our Development Plan to drive the growth of crowds, but we need someone to take ownership and help drive the plans to fruition. Working closely with our community team growing the crowds is the no1 KPI of the club.
Events Manager – We need someone to support the Board of Directors in establishing an events programme around our fixture list. The ground needs to be a central hub of activity every summer weekend as well as events to manage away from the stadium. You will be the contact point for 3rd parties to use our facilities and be capable of working with our H&S department and the local council putting event plans and risk assessments together.
Inclusivity and Diversity Manager – We need someone to put a policy and strategies in place to ensure that Barrow Raiders appeal to every member of society. Working closely with the RFL and their TACKLE IT campaign, this person will ensure that there are no barriers to being part of the rugby league family.
World Cup 2021 Manager – To put a strategy and action plan in place to help promote the RLWC 2021 in Barrow. Although Cumbria have no fixtures, we have put our hand up for a warm-up game against one of the competing nations. The success of the World Cup will be directly related to the future income streams from broadcasters and sponsors and we have a massive opportunity to raise awareness.
Match Day Manager – We plan to make match day more than just a match with invitations to community groups and entertainment filling the day. Working with our community team we need someone to put a match day plan in place and ensure the day runs smoothly.
Health, Safety and Quality Auditors – We have many of our policies, processes and procedures in place but we need someone to help us understand whether we have gaps, whether we adhere to our documentation and help us with advice on the journey of continuous improvement.
