Long-standing sponsors Wardgroup have increased their support for Barrow Raiders after agreeing a deal to become main sponsors of the club’s ladies team ahead of the new Betfred Women’s Super League season.
Wardgroup’s sponsorship of the Raiders’ social media channels, in addition to their support of our Junior Education Training Scheme (JETS) programme, has become a familiar site over recent years.
However, this season sees them expand their sponsorship of the Raiders by agreeing to be the main team sponsor of Barrow Ladies ahead of their debut season in Group 1 of the Women’s Super League.

Amanda Wilkinson’s Raiders Ladies were promoted via the play-offs in 2023 and will begin their competitive season when the group stages of the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup commence later this month.
This new agreement will see the Wardgroup logo emblazoned across the front of the Raiders Ladies’ playing kit throughout the 2024 campaign.
Wardgroup managing director Ian Noble said: “The work that the chairman, directors, employees and volunteers of the club have put in to get the stadium and playing staff to where they are now is a great credit to them, and the addition of the ladies team has opened the club up to a whole new audience.
“We are proud to be associated with this journey, and to play a small part in the progress made by the club and contribute in some small way to the success of the ladies team and the community of our great town.”
Barrow Raiders chairman Steve Neale said: “Wardgroup have been outstanding sponsors of the club for many seasons, and to see them extend their support to include our ladies team as they embark on an exciting new chapter is testament to the value they see in working with an organisation like ours.
