After a week off, Barrow Raiders return to Betfred Championship action with an important game against Halifax Panthers on Saturday.

Two crucial competition points will be on the line this weekend, as part of an action-packed extravaganza of rugby which will see the club celebrate its latest Inclusivity Day.

The full schedule for Saturday is as follows:

  • 10:30am: Barrow & District Ladies vs Workington
  • 1:30pm: Barrow Ladies vs Wigan Warriors
  • 3:30pm: Touch rugby festival
  • 6pm: Barrow Raiders vs Halifax Panthers

Saturday’s feast of rugby will culminate with a hotly-contested fixture between two sides currently separated by just two points in the Championship table, and with ambitions of climbing the division.

Head coach Paul Crarey has made five changes to his 21-man squad ahead of Saturday’s Round 11 fixture.

New signing Greg Worthington is in contention to feature, having re-joined the club on a deal until the end of the season.

Max Anderson-Moore, Greg Burke, Jacob Douglas and Harvey Makin also come into the mix, with Max Clarke, Delaine Gittens-Bedward, Finn McMillan, Mike Ogunwole and Brad Walker making way.

Saturday’s Betfred Championship fixture at the Northern Competitions Stadium kicks off at 6:00pm. Match tickets, available to buy online or at the turnstiles, are priced as follows:

  • Adults: £16
  • Concessions (Over 65s): £13
  • 17-24yrs: £10
  • Juniors: FREE

IMPORTANT: Entry before 3:30pm costs £5 and will entitle you to stay for all of the action later in the day.
