Ian Watson’s Huddersfield Giants have won four of their six Super League matches so far in 2022, but they come into Sunday’s game fresh from a 14-6 defeat away at Hull FC.

This is their first game in this year’s Betfred Challenge Cup, and they last won the competition in 1952-53, three seasons before the Raiders enjoyed similar success.

Since the turn of the millennium, Huddersfield have reached the final twice since 2006 but were unsuccessful on both occasions, losing to St Helens at Twickenham and Warrington Wolves at Wembley.
