Preview: Barrow Raiders vs London Broncos

Barrow Raiders return to league action this weekend with a home clash against London Broncos in the Betfred Championship.

Paul Crarey’s side have been victorious in each of their opening four league fixtures in 2022, and more recently booked their place in Round 6 of the Betfred Challenge Cup, where they will host Super League side Huddersfield Giants.

Before next week’s televised cup clash, however, attention returns to league matters as the Raiders seek to maintain their 100% winning start against a Broncos outfit struggling for form.

The Opposition

It has been a difficult start to the season for London Broncos, who have been defeated in each of their opening five Betfred Championship matches.

They currently lie second-bottom in the league table, and were also beaten by Bradford Bulls in the Challenge Cup at the end of February.

Nevertheless, under the guidance of head coach Jermaine Coleman, who is also involved with the Jamaica national team, the Broncos still pose a threat and have a number of experienced players within their ranks.

Hooker and former Raiders player Dean Parata has been capped seven times by Italy, while utility forward Rhys Curran also accumulated more than 116 appearances for Toulouse Olympique during a five-season spell in the south of France.
