Preview: Dewsbury Rams v Barrow Raiders

Barrow Raiders return to Yorkshire on Sunday to face Dewsbury Rams in Round 12 of the Betfred Championship.

The Raiders returned to winning ways against Workington Town in last weekend’s Cumbrian derby and will be keen to kick on ahead of a potentially testing fixture on their travels.

Paul Crarey’s side lie sixth in the league table with 13 points amassed so far, but a second successive win could see them climb as high as fourth by the close of play on Sunday.

The Rams, led by head coach Lee Greenwood, are currently 12th in the table having won just two league games so far in 2022.

They have the second-worst point differential in the division but still have plenty of danger men who can trouble the Raiders, including ex-Super League forward Dale Ferguson and talented half-back Matty Beharrell.

In addition, both of their league wins have also come on home soil, and they produced a spirited display against still-unbeaten Featherstone Rovers at the Tetley’s Stadium last time out.
