Barrow Raiders saw off a sustained challenge from Newcastle Thunder to come out victorious in their second pre-season friendly of 2022.
Trailing 22-12 shortly after the half-time break, head coach Paul Crarey will be pleased with the Raiders’ tenacity and fitness as a devastating final half-hour saw 22 unanswered points scored at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium.
Ellis Gillam, Hakim Miloudi, Danny Langtree, Ryan Shaw (2) and Ryan Johnston all crossed, with Shaw adding a further 10 points with the boot.
Thunder responded with tries from Sam Hallas, Craig Mullen, Isaac Nokes and Jack Johnson.
