Barrow Raiders fell to a disappointing 30-12 defeat at home to Featherstone Rovers in Round 12 of the Betfred Championship.

The in-form visitors produced a confident display on the road to leave with both competitions points, inflicting a second successive defeat upon Paul Crarey’s side.

Winger Tee Ritson opened the scoring, but that was as good as it got for the home side in the opening 40 as three converted tries put Rovers in control.

Brad Day extended their advantage early into the second half, with Gareth Gale soon in on the act as Featherstone moved clear heading into the final quarter.

Curtis Teare broke through to pull a try back 12 minutes from time for the Raiders, but there would be no late comeback as Featherstone recorded their fourth win in a row.

The Raiders find themselves sixth in the Championship table and will now turn their attention to Sheffield Eagles’ visit to the Northern Competitions Stadium on Sunday 15 June.
