Barrow Raiders were beaten at home for the second successive week as Sheffield Eagles recorded a 36-16 victory in Round 2 of the Betfred Championship.
The Eagles got off to the perfect start when Kris Welham touched down after just four minutes, before the Raiders responded on 12 minutes as Ellis Gillam powered his way over.
Shortly after, Josh Wood was taken off injured on his 100th career appearance.
The visitors then scored three tries in a row before half-time, with Welham grabbing his second of the day before Matty Dawson-Jones and Ross Oakes also crossed.
Raiders half-back Jarrod Sammut found a gap in the defensive line and exploited it to score before half-time, but it was Oakes who added another four-pointer shortly after the break as the Eagles moved 26-12 ahead.
Bayley Liu then stretched that advantage further after a fine solo effort.
The hosts reduced the deficit before the hour mark as Shane Toal dived over in the corner, but it would be the visitors who completed the scoring as Anthony Thackeray touched down on the hour mark.
The Raiders are next in action away at Swinton Lions on Sunday 19 February (3:00pm kick-off).
