Touch Rugby at Craven Park

Touch rugby is coming to Craven Park!

Come and take part in the fun-filled, short-form version of rugby league, with fun sessions, a touch rugby league and festivals set to take place over the coming months.

All sessions are open to men’s, women’s and mixed teams, and participants must be aged 14 and over in order to get involved.

On each selected date, shown below, there will be an informal session from 6-7pm, where participants can simply turn up and play touch rugby. For those who are more competitive, we will be launching an eight-team Touch Monday League which will run from 7-8:30pm on the dates shown.

Each squad can contain up to 10 players, with six players allowed on the field at any time. 

Matches are 40 minutes long (two 20 minute halves) and are played across half of our Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium pitch.

• Monday 17 April – Fun session and League Round 1
• Monday 24 April – Fun session and League Round 2
• Monday 15 May – Fun session and League Round 3
• Monday 22 May – Fun session and League Round 4
• Monday 5 June – Fun session and League Round 5
• Monday 12 June – Fun session and League Round 6
• Monday 19 June – Fun session and League Round 7
• Monday 26 June – Fun session and League Finals Night (semi-finals/final)

In addition, we will also be running two festivals in May that will act as curtain-raisers before Barrow Raiders vs Bradford Bulls (Sunday 7 May) and Barrow Raiders Ladies vs Bradford Bulls Women (Sunday 28 May). 

These festivals will take place from 10am-1pm.

We would like to encourage as many teams as possible to enter the festivals, regardless of whether you’re taking part in the Touch Monday League.

Both festival dates are on a Sunday, and we will offer free entry to all participants to the Raiders’ games and look to put on entertainment after the fixture has concluded.
