Barrow Raiders can confirm that half-back Ellis Archer has left the club to join Workington Town on a two-year deal.
A former St Helens scholar who went on to make his Super League debut against Wakefield Trinity in August 2022, Archer returned to his hometown club last year.
However, he was restricted to just five appearances throughout the 2023 season, three of which were starts.

Archer also featured for development side Furness Raiders in the College League during his time at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium.
He will now look to continue his progression by making the move to Workington, who finished fifth in Betfred League 1 last season.
“I’m excited to have signed for Workington for the next few years and can’t wait to see what we can achieve as a club and how much I can improve as a player,” he said.
