Barrow Raiders head coach Paul Crarey has confirmed that hooker Josh Wood could be sidelined for up to two months.
In his 100th career appearance, Wood was taken off injured in the opening stages of last Sunday’s 36-16 defeat to Sheffield Eagles at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium.
Further examination has determined that he could miss between 4-8 weeks of action.

Meanwhile, forward Sam Brooks continues to work his way back to full fitness, but he remains unavailable for this weekend’s trip to Swinton Lions.
Several first team players have picked up minor knocks, and they will be assessed ahead of Sunday.
“We’re eating into our squad early this year,” Crarey said.
“We were probably very lucky last year with our injuries, and this year at the start we’ve not been so lucky.

“Our medical team are doing really well with the players and are on the ball.
“Josh [Wood] is a tough kid, and hopefully it heals pretty well. With his attitude, it’ll hopefully only be a four-week injury rather than eight.”
