Attention returns to Betfred Championship action this weekend as Barrow Raiders welcome Batley Bulldogs to the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium.
The Raiders come into the game off the back of last weekend’s Betfred Challenge Cup defeat to Huddersfield but remain unbeaten in the league, with four victories and one draw from their opening five matches in 2022.
They will hope to keep their unbeaten Championship record in-tact against a Bulldogs side looking to record their third league win of the season.
The Opposition
It has been an indifferent start to the new season for Craig Lingard’s Bulldogs, who started the season in fine form with three wins in their first four matches in all competitions.
However, they have since been dumped out of the Betfred Challenge Cup, although a dramatic draw against Featherstone Rovers in their last outing ended a two-game losing run.
Having reached the play-off semi-finals last season, Sunday’s visitors will be keen to get a result in Cumbria as they look to move as high as sixth in the table, should other results go their way.
