Barrow Raiders’ Betfred Challenge Cup campaign gets underway this Saturday lunchtime as Oldham make the trip to the newly-named Northern Competitions Stadium

The third round tie will be an intriguing affair as the Raiders – whose place in the knockout stages of the 1895 Cup is already assured after wins at Workington Town and Whitehaven – look to enjoy a winning start in another cup competition.

Head coach Paul Crarey has made three changes to his 21-man squad ahead of Saturday.

Brett Carter and Shane Toal both return to the fold. Max Clarke misses out under concussion protocols, captain Jarrad Stack begins a two-match ban and Roly Seward also makes way.

How to watch the game live

Saturday’s fixture will take place at 12:30pm, having been selected for live BBC coverage. The third round clash will be streamed live on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport online from 12.20pm.

It will be one of two ties to be broadcast, with The Sportsman covering an all-Championship affair between newly-promoted Dewsbury Rams and York Knights the following day.
