Barrow Raiders travel to South Yorkshire to face Sheffield Eagles in their final fixture of the 2025 Betfred Championship season this Sunday.
The Raiders will be keen to end a positive campaign on a high with a victory against the Eagles at the Olympic Legacy Park.
Paul Crarey is also hoping for a response following his side’s disappointing display against Halifax Panthers two weeks ago, where they were soundly defeated 44-10 at the Northern Competitions Stadium.
Should the Raiders secure two points against Sheffield and Doncaster lose at home to Halifax, they will conclude the season in 8th place, their highest league finish in three years.
Below, we’ve compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.

Charlie Emslie preview

Barrow Raiders forward Charlie Emslie insists the squad are determined to end the 2025 season on a high.
The Raiders’ Betfred Championship campaign concludes on Sunday with a trip to Sheffield Eagles, who find themselves 11th in the table after collecting just five wins from their 23 league games.
One of the Eagles’ victories came against Barrow back in Round 13, and Emslie says the squad cannot afford to drop below their usual standards if they want to finish the season with two more points to their name.
“It will be massive for us to try and get this last win, just to finish the season off right,” he said.
“This game is just the same as every other week. Some people would say we have nothing to play for, but as professionals and competitors, we go out to try and win every single week.”
Squad news
The 21-man squad has been named for Sunday’s clash against Sheffield Eagles.
Forward James Greenwood makes his return to the squad for the first time since the Round 18 clash away at York Knights.
Ryan King, Aaron Smith and Brett Carter will miss out this weekend after featuring in the line-up against Halifax Panthers a fortnight ago.
Ryan Shaw and Fin Dutton-Rosconie step up to replace them for this weekend’s trip to Sheffield.
