Attention returns to the 1895 Cup this weekend for Barrow Raiders as they get set to visit Wakefield Trinity in the quarter-finals of the competition.
It will be a difficult assignment for the Raiders – who advanced to the knockout stages of the competition after overcoming Cumbria opposition in Workington Town and Whitehaven during the group stages.
It will also be a final chance for head coach Paul Crarey to see his players in competitive action before their Betfred Championship season begins on Sunday 17 March.

Squad news
Head coach Paul Crarey has named a 20-man squad ahead of Saturday’s fixture.
Luke Broadbent is absent as he begins a four-game ban, while Brett Carter and James Greenwood also drop out of the 21 following the Raiders’ Betfred Challenge Cup defeat at home to Oldham last month.
Coming in are Max Anderson-Moore, Delaine Bedward and Tom Walker – who is in line for his first competitive minutes since re-joining the club ahead of the 2024 season.
