Barrow Raiders returned to winning ways in style, defeating Batley Bulldogs 40-16 in Round 17 of the Betfred Championship.
Following the disappointment of their performance at Featherstone Rovers seven days prior, the Raiders produced a much-improved display and ran in seven tries against their opponents.
They led 22-12 at the break, with Curtis Teare’s double coming either side of tries from Ryan Johnston and Andrew Bulman.
While Batley remained in touch at that stage, a try shortly after the restart from Alex Bishop gave the Raiders breathing space and they continued to hammer home their superiority in sweltering conditions at the Northern Competitions Stadium.
A fantastic break from Shane Toal led to try number six, before Josh Wood marked his return to the side by spinning over from close range.
Next Sunday, the Raiders travel to Championship leaders York Knights, who moved to the top of the table over the weekend.
The Round 18 clash will form part of a men’s and women’s double-header at the LNER Community Stadium, and tickets are available to buy here.
