Barrow’s unbeaten start to the new Betfred Championship season continued, despite the Raiders dropping their first point of the season at home to London Broncos.
Paul Crarey’s side had led 18-8 heading into the closing stages of the contest, but a late Broncos comeback ensured they left the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium with a point.
The hosts got off to the perfect start on 17 minutes when in-form winger Tee Ritson opened the scoring with a long-range effort that was converted by Jarrod Sammut.
Ritson doubled his try tally with a diving finish in the corner six minutes later, but Calum Gahan responded for the visitors before half-time.
Shane Toal’s finish just before the hour mark seemed to have given the Raiders some breathing space after Paulos Latu had brought the Broncos back into the mix, but the visitors salvaged a point late on thanks to tries from Oli Leyland and Alex Walker.
Barrow return to action this Sunday as they host Super League side Huddersfield Giants in front of the BBC cameras.
