Congratulations to the five players from the Barrow Raiders Pathway to Performance (P2P) programme who have been named in the RFL’s Girls Talent Hubs.

Already part of our elite pathway initiative, they will now embark on a six-week RFL development programme alongside the best players from their regions, identifying and developing female rugby players of the future.

The five girls selected are:

  • Odette Brown
  • Nancy Hurley
  • Kenzie Jefferson
  • Leonie Bragg
  • Darcy Southward

Back for 2025 with a new cohort of regional squads, the girls have been selected to take part in the development programme and will play two games against each of the Girls Talent Hubs.

The Girls Talent Hubs are the next step on the performance pathway, and also act as one element of identifying girls to progress as a U17 onto the England Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) programme.

Amanda Wilkinson, head of the Barrow Raiders P2P programme and head coach of the club’s Betfred Women’s Super League side, said: “I have been so impressed with the talent in Cumbria so far in the P2P programme.

“The girls have a shown great commitment and attitude, and I have been impressed with their rugby skills too.”

All five girls that have been selected show tremendous talent, and we couldn’t be prouder!
