Barrow Raiders have completed the signing of Salford Red Devils front-rower Joe Bullock on a permanent basis.
Bullock has agreed to move to the Raiders on a deal running until the end of the 2027 season.
He has previously enjoyed great success at the Raiders, making well over 100 appearances for the club between 2014-18 before earning a move to Wigan Warriors ahead of the 2019 campaign.
The 32-year-old has featured several times for the Raiders in 2025, first on loan and then as part of the dual-registration agreement in place between Barrow and Salford.
This move enables Bullock to secure his long-term future, while also allowing the club to bring in a player of proven Betfred Super League quality.
“I’m really glad to be back. It’s a club I hold dearly in my heart,” he said.
“Getting the opportunity to come back and play under Cresta [Paul Crarey] feels like a nice little homecoming.
“It’s really exciting to think about what the next couple of years could hold for us. We know we’re going to be pushing as a top Championship club, and I want to be part of that.
“It’s been a tough year at Salford, on and off the field. To get that security for myself has been most important, and Barrow have been really accommodating with that.
“Now, it’s all about bringing that Super League experience back to this club. We’re an ambitious group of players, and hopefully we can all be successful together.”
Barrow Raiders head coach Paul Crarey said: “It’s a big signing for us. In the games Joe has played this year, he’s been absolutely outstanding.
“He just needs a bit of love and we’ll give him that. Joe has been fantastic, and it’s on us to get him back feeling confident and playing well.
“We want him to get that hunger again, and we’ve spoken about that already. The crowd love him, and it’s another great signing to bolster a pack which I think could be formidable next season.”
Director of rugby Andy Gaffney said: “Joe has made a real impact since returning on loan this season, as we knew he would.
“When the opportunity arose to potentially get Joe on a longer-term deal, I was keen to get it over the line and would like to thank everyone involved in making the deal happen, including the Blue & White Knights.
“We truly believe we have one of the best front-rowers in the division next season. Joe has enjoyed his time back at the club so far, and we hope his recent performances are a sign of things to come.”
