This week, the club’s latest 50/50 raffle draw will be raising money to support Barrow Raiders Ladies on their Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup adventure this season.
The group stages of the competition will take place before the start of the league season, with a trip to South Wales first up as the Raiders Ladies visit Cardiff Demons. This game has provisionally been set for Saturday 16 March but is still subject to change.
Also competing in Group B are Salford Red Devils and Wigan Warriors – who host the Raiders Ladies in Round 1 of the new Betfred Women’s Super League campaign.
To help Amanda Wilkinson’s squad prepare in the best possible way, we are looking to raise funds to help pay for an overnight stay for the squad, as well as offsetting increased travel costs for the journey.
This will be a typical 50/50 raffle draw, with all money raised ringfenced for the trip to Wales.
We will be having the main 50/50 raffle cash prize draw for everyone, and for any business or individual who buys £50 worth of tickets, we will hold a second draw where the winner will become the travel sponsor for the game.
The travel sponsor will gets lots of social media exposure on the weekend of the game, as thanks for their fantastic support.
